The site is now 'locked' security fence in front of the plot, Jo called our site supervisor yesterday to ask could we go on-site to prepare the fencing.
As the fence will be 15cm away from the garage when its built, we decided to paint the fence today (whilst there was still easy access).
After initial problems trying to prime the fence (lots of spray back), we finally succeeded in getting the wood painted (Natural Sand), just in the area where the garage will be. Hopefully this will stop the fence rotting.
Will decide later if we want to do the whole fence the same way, or with another colour or material.
Jo in the image (for scale) and a photo of the view from the front.
Back next week to check the pipes are in the right place in the slab ;-).

This is how the house will sit on the land.

Soil tests undertaken, comes back as 'problematic' - Not Good, more delays ?
A couple of slab revisions later (from i) waffle pad slab ii) piered waffle slab to iii) Deep edge waffle slab..... This saves $$$$$$ which is good.

The Slab will be poured on Friday 1st April (hopefully not a joke).

Here is the house we will be building on the plot. Marriott 44 Porter Davis.
Tiled throughout downstairs and Sydney Red Gum flooring upstairs.
For the Europeans a bidet in all the bathrooms (ensuites).
With the need for natural light as much as possible we went for the retro facade.
Lots of space for everyone (hopefully)

Here it is:
The land is now fenced.
Measured and it is the correct size (left hand side 40 metres x back fence 21 metres, right hand side 45 metres). Giving us a nice sized front and a big back garden (18 meters).
The land finally settled on the 15th March.
Lots of delays (outside of our control).

The land is within 250 meters of a water course, therefore archaeologists need to check for Aboriginal artifacts (thats fair enough, this should be checked).

Wettest Spring/Summer for years, so the roads could not be built...

But finally we got there (13 months after initially signing on the dotted line).

This has pushed our start date back from a November start to an April start pushing
our finish date back.
